    Our Week of Solitude

    Summercourt,Cornwall,United Kingdom

Review Submitted: September 25, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008

We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay in La Lune. The accommodation was very comfortable and everything was provided that we needed. It was also very clean and tidy. The accommodation is based in a very small and pretty hamlet and provided a week of wonderful peace and quiet. The owners were very friendly and approachable and really could not do enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The meal that we booked for the evening of our arrival was extremely appetising and needless to say nothing was left ! Also, we were very impressed with the welcome pack that awaited us along with the attractive welcome card which made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. We had wonderful weather which was a bonus, and the situation of the property provided us with an ideal base from which to see many interesting parts of Brittany, as well as Normandy. The layout of the property was good, which included two potential sunny areas for relaxing with a coffee, on both sides of the property depending on the time of day. We would certainly recommend others to stay here and experience this part of France, where the neighbours are also real French people. One advantage of staying here is that the owners speak English as well as French which can help in some situations. We would certainly stay here again when we decide to return to this part of France.

I stayed in this gite and found it to be very comfortable and clean with homely touches. It was in a lovely quiet rural position but not too far away from really interesting towns to visit. I went to Fougeres, St Suliac and of course, Mont St. Michael. There is a beautiful walk nearby and it’s a great spot for cycling. I thought the owners were helpful about places to visit and they were very friendly. All in all I had a fabulous time and loved the gite and the warm welcome.

We would like to thank you for your hospitality and the generous welcome pack you left for us. We had a really good time in Le Soleil, loved the log fires and the comfy reclining armchairs. Kati and Peter, Staffordshire March 2008

It was without doubt a revelation for us. Beautiful place with everything we could dream of: peace calmness, nature at its best. Most of all Judi and Graham who made our visit to Bretagne unforgettable...

La Lune is an exceptional, well appointed gite with the best hosts we could have ever wished for. Ardilloux is idyllic, the locals are wonderfully friendly. The countryside becomes more beautiful as you explore and each town has its gems...
